PETTERMAN,
W.H., merchant, Waveland, was born in Frederick Co, VA 1815 and came to
Sullivan County, Indiana in 1837 and to Montgomery County in 1848 and located
at Waveland and for the last 16 years has been one of the active business men
of the place. Having been in the mercantile business for that many years, and
by his honest dealings with his many customers, he has been able to retain his
old patrons and add thereto many new ones. He is a prominent Mason and a member
of the Presbyterian Church. He married in 1839 Rebecca SULLINGER of Knox
